1/21/04 (Wed) - No new sightings. We're sorry we haven't had
much time to devote to the site (see our posting of
11/02/03 for
explanation), but you can bet we're still watching for Rumble every
day! We'll never give up on our boy. No more news, so
we're hoping he's been adopted by some loving family. If we
could only know that, we would be so relieved! Whenever we hear
a heart-warming "lost dog reunited with family" story, we get so
encouraged! Maybe one day Rumble will be that story. In
the meantime, we'd love to share with you a wonderful link for the
Shiloh Rehome
Program.
If you think you could love a Shiloh the way we do, you may want to
open your heart and your home to one of these wonderful, oversized
bundles of love. :-)

5/15/04 (Sat) - No new sightings. However, we've just received a
very exciting email from someone who is reporting a sighting.
She's not in our area, but the last time Rumble was sighted was right
before a nation-wide convention in that part of Virginia. We
like to imagine that some kind-hearted soul who was attending the
convention saw a lost and hungry dog and took him back with them.
If Rumble is still wandering and lost, then we want to be able to
capture him and bring him home. But if he's been "adopted" and
is a loved member of someone else's family, that would be wonderful.
Then all we wish is to know he's safe and loved. We truly want
what's best for Rumble. Thank you. (By the way, we've been
having tremendous trouble with Rumble's email account so we've changed
the form on the "Contact Us" page so it goes to another address where
we can at least retrieve it. Hopefully the email problems can be
resolved soon.)

5/23/04 (Sun) - No new sightings. Still no word on our boy.
However, we would like to share with you news about a wonderful Shiloh
girl who is looking for a forever home. Her family had to give
her up due to personal reasons. Her name is "Dulcy" and
she's a 3-year-old dark brown plush female who would make a
wonderfully loving house dog for some lucky family! Thank you.

8/22/04 (Sun) - No new sightings. We do want to take this
opportunity to try to help another lost dog though. This one's
quite a bit smaller than Rumble! A good friend of ours found a
young, male Jack Russel Terrier near Ruckersville, Virginia.
His foot was caught in a cable. If you've lost this little
fellow or think you know who he is, please call Gloria at
540-832-3051. If anyone is in contact with Jack Russel owners in
Virginia, we'd appreciate if you could share this information with
them. Thank you!

9/05/04 (Sun) - No new sightings. Today we'd like to pause a
moment to remember our dear Rumble on the occasion of his 4th
birthday. Rumble, wherever you are we love you and we pray
you're well and happy. To visit our birthday tribute to Rumble,
please click here. Thank you.

9/12/04 (Sun) - No new sightings. Friends of Rumble (FOR), a
non-profit organization established to help homeless dogs and abused
children help each other, has been launched! Although we will
never stop searching for Rumble, we have created FOR as his legacy.
Thank you.

10/11/04 (Mon) - No new sightings. We'd like to share with you
information about two beautiful purebred Shiloh Shepherd girls in
desperate need of a home. It's incredible and tragic, but Autumn
and Coco, who have been together their entire lives, were abandoned.
According to the
Shiloh Shepherd Rescue Network, these two girls are registered
with papers and are descended from some of the legends of the breed.
They are both nine years old and are in quite good health.
Fortunately volunteers have kept them on the basic meds to prevent
heartworm, Lyme disease, etc. Here is a brief description:
They are two spayed females who were raised together from the time
they were pups, and are just nine and almost nine years old, who
were abandoned in Brooklyn, and to the best of our knowledge, lived
alone for about a year, in an abandoned house. Autumn is a
black and silver short haired girl, weighing 90 pounds. She is the
more dominant and willful of the two, vigilant and the more vocal.
Coco is a golden plush sable, weighing 85 pounds. She is
heavier-boned and more playful; and also more relaxed.

If you know of anyone who might be able to give these deserving girls
their forever home, that would be wonderful! To read lots more
about these girls, to see lots more photos of them, and to learn how to
adopt this wonderful pair, please visit
the
Shiloh Rehome
Program. Thank you.
