Some materials are traditionally used for certain applications, but you may have different ideas. We can help you determine what will work best for the locations and purposes you have in mind.

Each material has its own special features. Each is wonderful in its own way.
The right material for your project should be determined not only on how and where you want to use it, but also on your personal style.
Depending on your needs and desires, any one may be the perfect choice for you. In some cases, using more than one type of material might even be the answer.

Some materials such as granite and marble can have "movement," or
visible veins of color.
Others, including quartz, granite, solid surface, and recycled may have
flecked properties.
Still others, particularly solid surface, paper, and even quartz, are
available in a single solid color.

Granite is classic and offers interest in depth of color. Certain granites, such as in the photo at the left, have what is referred to as "movement."
In addition to its other qualities, granite is extremely heat-resistant.
Marble is timeless, elegant, and unparalleled in its ability to maintain cool temperatures.
Other stones such as limestone, travertine, and onyx are prized for their individuality and stunning beauty.

Quartz is often mistaken for granite, but requires little or no maintenance.
Now there are even more choices in engineered stone, such as engineered marble.
Solid surfaces are custom-made with through-body color and no seams, thus permitting ease of maintenance, greater variety in combining colors, ability to form curves and other shapes.
Today's "green" choices offer more variety than ever. Countertops made of recycled materials may be something you wish to consider.
